EPHESIANS 1:4-9

4    According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5   Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6    To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

7   In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

8    Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

9   Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

  We'll start at the 8th verse, to get a little background.

Wherein he has abounded towards us in all wisdom and prudence;

Having made known to us the mystery of his will...

"The mysteries of His will..." And remember how we hung on that? How many was here this morning? Let's see. How we stuck on that, "the mystery of His will." Now, it is not just a little thing; then it's a mystery. God's will is a mystery. And each man has to seek out the will of God for his or herself, God's mystery. How do we find out? Paul, it was known to him. He said he didn't confer with any man, no flesh and blood. He went to no school, no seminary. He had nothing to do with it. But he... It was revealed to him by Jesus Christ, Who met him on the road to Damascus in a--a Light like a Pillar of Fire, and It called him. And he went to Arabia, and there dwelt three years. Oh, don't you imagine that was some time, Brother Egan? Three years Paul was down there in Arabia, rented him a little building somewhere, walking up and down the floor with all the old scrolls. They didn't have the new ones; Paul wrote them, mostly. Right in these old scrolls, how that God, at the beginning predestinated us unto Eternal Life, how that He would send Jesus, that through this Sacrifice we'd all have a right to the Tree of Life. "Those who He foreknew, He called; those who He called, He has already justified; those who He justified, He has already glorified."  God, since the beginning of the world, predestinated us to the adoption of sons. Now, the whole creation groaning, waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. Oh, I'd imagine Paul had a wonderful time. I'd like to have been there with him, wouldn't you? Now, he said, "He made known to us the mystery." Get the Holy Spirit on you sometime, and start running that, and just watch how it goes.

  Galatians 1 tells us that we were predestinated to the adoption of sons by Jesus Christ, predestinated of God, though many are called but few are chosen. The chosen was chose at the beginning. Now, but we were predestinated to the adoption of the children of God by Jesus Christ.

…the heirs of this salvation might have this strong hope, steadfast and sure, a anchor in the soul: to know this, that God has promised us by a sworn oath.   What is heavenly places? Heavenly places (just for a moment) is the believers' position in Christ (See?), where the believer stands in Christ, in heavenly places.                                                                       

According as he hath chosen us... (Listen close)... chosen us in him before the foundation of the world,...

When did He choose us? Before the foundation of the world, when His great hidden mystery, His great secret... He chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world.                                        

... that we should be holy and without blame before him in... (What?)... love:

 Having... (a what?)... predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.

       Predestinated... There's the mystery. He`... Before Christ or anything else was ever on earth (You see His great mystery?) that He chose the Bride, knowing Eve would fall from disbelieving the Word, knowing that she would fall, but He would choose a Bride that would not fall, that would hold to that Word regardless of what all the rest of the world had to say about It; they would hold to that Word. They are predestinated to stand there. The adoption of children by Jesus Christ predestinated the Church to that great glorious stand.

29-2  Now, you see the secret? What to? To restore fallen Eve, as she was a prefigure of the church. And now notice, as God opened up the side of Adam and took out Eve by his own flesh and blood, and divided his spirit from masculine and feminish, to feminish and put it in Eve, took the rib from under his side and made Eve out of it; so God did the same thing, taking out of the side of Christ the Blood and the water (and Christ is the Word), and taking the Word and making up His Church, Eve (See?), back to Himself again redeemed by the Blood that was come from His Body. You see it now? God's great mystery being unfolded that's been hid since the foundation of the world, but prefigured it all the way down through.

    Now it wouldn't be me if He did that, because... First it was God in the Pillar of Fire... God above us, then God with us in Christ, now God in us. See?.. sons of God in the adoption that Christ come to do, to redeem God's attributes as He did at the beginning. Now, if His Word dwells in here and I've told the truth, and that is it... and the Word is in here in my heart, then God will identify Himself as that being the truth. Then what ought that to do to this congregation? What it ought to do, when you see the Scripture right here before you.

…Romans 8:11 says, "If the Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you, It will also quickens your mortal bodies"--that same Life, them same powers, them same beneficiaries that He had here on earth from God. He redeemed you, a Seed that was foreknown by God, whose names was put on the Lamb's Book of Life before the foundation of the world. And that Gospel Light of the resurrection, the confirmation of the Word... How did we know He was the Christ?

Because He proved what He talked about. How will I know the Message of the hour? God proves what He promised and He talks about it. That is the identification, that we are beneficiaries with Him in the resurrection.

…Romans 8:22 and 23... Let's get that, and we'll give this background, then I think we'll understand it a little better if each person reads it for themselves. And giving you a few Scriptures here, so we can--we can look upon them, and while the hour's still young. Now, 8, Romans 8:22 to begin... For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Oh, my, oh, my. Don't that make us old folks feel good? It ought make us all feel good, waiting for this hour. We understand this will take place at the first resurrection. See, nature is groaning; we are groaning; everything is groaning, because we realize there's something not right. And the only way you can groan and wait for it, is because there has been new life come in here that speaks of a new world.

  See, but he that understandeth, he that knoweth his place in this hour... "He that heareth My Word and believeth on Him that sent Me hath (present tense) Eternal Life, shall not come into the judgment, but's already passed from death unto Life."

Then when this new Eternal Life dwells in you, it is the potential or the earnest of you being quickened from mortal to immortality. Let me say that again. When this Spirit has found you, the individual, and has come upon you, it is the potential of your eternal inheritance that God thought of you and made for you before the foundation of the world. That is your potential.

  Inheritance by predestination. I inherited something. What inheritance? There had to be somebody leave me an inheritance. Why, you say, "Jesus left you an inheritance." Beg your pardon? Now, we have the Earnest, our spirit's groaning for the full adoption, but now we have the Earnest of it. As we receive the Holy Spirit, It is the Earnest of our complete adoption or complete salvation. Oh, how beautiful. I just love that. All right.

We are waiting for the fulness of adoption. This will take place when? At the first resurrection. That's when our bodies will be changed from these vile creatures that we are and we'll have a body like His own glorious body, for we shall see Him as He is, and we will be like Him. When He appears, we appear in His likeness. We will have a body like His, a glorious glorified body, and all the trials and struggles of life will fade off into a little mist and blow away to never be no more.

  It reminds me of those beautiful words of I Peter 1:8, "Whom having not seen ye love, in Whom, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory." With them we rejoice also. We haven't seen Him, but we have felt Him. We know Him now as much as our limiting senses can let us. But one day it will be face to face. That is for this age. He is coming at the end of this age. Partial realization will be made PERFECT REALIZATION, COMPLETED REALIZATION. Hallelujah! We have been looking through a glass darkly, but soon it will be face to face. We have been going from glory to glory, but soon it will be right in the glory; and in HIS GLORY WE'LL SHINE. WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM, WONDROUSLY LIKE HIM, JESUS OUR SAVIOUR DIVINE! Isn't that wonderful? We are complete in Him. That is true. He would not lie to us about that. But one day we will be changed in the atoms. We will put on immortality. We will be all swallowed up in life. Then we will REALIZE REALIZATION.

  Just like a little dew drop. If I understand, it's... I don't know too much about chemistry, but it must be that it's a-the congealing of humidity or atmosphere... And when the night gets cold and dark, it falls from the heavens and drops upon the ground. It's fell from somewhere. But the next morning before the sun comes up, it's laying there, the little fellow, shivering, but just let the sun come up, watch it go to shining. It's happy. Why? The sun is going to call it right back to where it come from. And that's the way with a Christian. Hallelujah. We know when we walk into the presence of God, something in us tells us that we come from somewhere and we're going back again by that power that's a-pulling us.

The little dew drop he glistens and shines and shouts, because he knows he come from up there and that sun's going to draw him right back up again. And a man that's a attribute of God, borned of God knows (Hallelujah.), when he come in contact with the Son of God, he's going to be drawed up from here someday! "For if I be lifted up from the earth, I'll draw all men unto me." Amen!

  And so is every man or woman that's born of the Spirit of God. There's something about it when Light spreads over us, that we're happy because we know we're going back to where we come from--from the bosom of God. It can sparkle with joy when the sun hits it, of course, knowing it's going to where it come from.

  What is it? His Bride going back with Him, redeemed back to the original Adam and Eve again. For it's...?... has left behind. They look back at the cross and see the death that's been paid. And now by faith we are resurrected with Him, setting in heavenly places right now, looking back to what redeemed us, waiting for the Husband to come to march on home with Him.

  The believers whose names were written in the Book of Life, predestinated from the foundation of the world, it was finished that very minute that Jesus said it was finished. That's... When was the Lamb slain? Before the foundation of the world. And when the Lamb was slain, your name was put on His Book. God by His foreknowledge saw all things. He's infinite. He knowed the end from the beginning.

His approval of any of us is only IN THE BELOVED. His love is elective which He had for us before the foundation of the world. Does He love us? Ah yes. But how shall we know? We shall know because He SAID SO, and manifested that He did love us for He brought us to Himself and gave us of His Spirit, placing us as sons. And how shall I prove my love to Him? By believing what He said, and by conducting myself with joy amidst the trials that He in His wisdom allows to come to pass.

  And there's only one form of Eternal Life, and that's God's Life. Only one form of Eternal Life: that was God. There to be a son of God, you had to be in Him always. The gene of your life, spiritual life tonight, was in God the Father before there was even a molecule. See? And you are nothing but the manifestation of the gene of life that was in God as a son of God. Now, you're expressed, after His Word has come in you, to light up this age.

You are the--expressing God's Life in you, because you are a son or a daughter of God. Therefore... You get what I mean? See? You are in--you are now made... You're setting in this church tonight, because your duty is to express God to this nation, and this people, and this neighborhood where you associate. Wherever you are, God knew that you would be here, because you have to be one of His genes or His attributes. You had to be. If you ever--if you've got Eternal Life, then it always was Eternal Life. And God before there was a foundation of the world knew that you would be here. And when the Word--or the water, the washing of the water of the Word fell upon you, you was expressed in a being. Now, you have fellowship with your Father, God, just as you have with you earthly father. See? You are citizens of the King, not citizens, but you are children, sons and daughters of the Living God if it be that the Eternal Life dwells in you. Now, then if it was, Jesus was the Fullness of God manifested.

He was the Fullness of the Godhead bodily; therefore, when He came to the earth and was manifested in flesh, you were here in Him then, because He was the Word. In the beginning was the Word,... the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  And the Word was made flesh and dwelled among us,... The Word was made flesh; therefore, you walked with Him, when... You were in Him when He was on earth. You suffered with Him, and you died with Him; you was buried with Him, and now you're risen with Him and manifested attributes of God, setting in heavenly places, already raised, resurrected to new life and setting in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Oh, that means so much now-days, church. That means so much to us, to see ourself positionally placed in Jesus Christ.

Now, if we are those attributes of God, we cannot live by creeds; we cannot live by denominationalism; we must live by the Word, because the Bride is a part of the Bridegroom like any wife is a part of her husband; therefore, we must be that Word Bride. And what is that Word Bride? The manifestation of this hour, the Bride, not a creed or denomination, but a living Oracle of God, a living attribute of God displaying to the world the attributes of God in the formation of the Bride that's to be expressed in this hour that we're now living.

  Jesus Christ, which was the tabernacle of God, made flesh and dwelt on earth, representing the Word. Jesus was the Word. The Bible said so, Saint John, the 1st chapter. And the Word was invisible. Now, listen close. The Word was invisible until It was made flesh, and then the Word become visible.

And through His sacrificial death at Calvary, and His resurrection, positionally placed His Church in that realm, that the same invisible God could come into the individual and make the Word visible.

  Now we have the Holy Ghost, is our Token, and It is our identification that we have accepted the death of the Lamb. Not only was Jesus just a human life to come back on us, but It was God Himself manifested in flesh, that brought back upon us the adoption of sons, that now we are sons and daughters of God. That is the Token. It's our identification of the passover. It's our identification that we have believed God, and God has accepted.

  For you're a gene of your father, and you were in your father, yet your father had no fellowship with you because he... You was in there, but you knew it not and he knew it not, but you was manifested that you might--that he might fellowship with you. And you being borned again, you're borned of Eternal Life. And that's the only one form of Eternal Life, and that's God's Life, Zoe, the Greek word is "Zoe," only one form of Eternal Life.

Then if you are a son of God or a daughter of God, you were in God all the time. but He knew what bed and time that you'd be planted. So now you're made a creature, a son of God, manifested son or daughter of God to meet the challenge of this hour to vindicate the true and living God of this hour, the message that's coming forth in this time. That's right. You were done there before the foundation of the world.

  …when you accept His sacrificed Blood, then He gives us life the life of the Token, and it is a promised seal. Ephesians 4:30, "Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed unto the day of your redemption." Then being baptized into Him, 1st Corinthians 12, we become part of His Body.

   "By one Spirit are we all baptized into one Body." We're baptized into the Body of Christ, by one Holy Spirit. We're not shook in, we're not joined in, we're not baptized with water in. We are baptized with the Holy Ghost, into the Body of Jesus Christ.  How long does it last when you get in There, until you misbehave yourself? Ephesians 4:30 says, "Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed until the day of your redemption." Argue with Him, not me. That's what It says. I'm reading It. All right. "You're sealed until the day of your redemption," until the day that Jesus comes for you. Then think of it!

   You are then not yourself, you are a new creature, for the Greek there means "a new creation." You've been recreated again. The power of God comes upon you, and you become created, a new creature; which brings the whole physical being, spiritual being and everything, in subject to the Word of God. Not no other way!

  Aren't we happy? We haven't got a thing to worry about, not a thing. We've anchored in Christ, sitting in heavenly places, caught up in rapturing grace right now, sitting in His presence in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
